And I am back ..
Here are some quick headlines making news today,
- Happy birthday Gigi Hadid! The supermodel turns 21 today. Hadid started celebrating a day early yesterday, with family members, according to her Instagram posts. Her parents, Yolanda Hadid and ex-husband Mohammed Hadid, took to social media to wish the model a happy birthday. Yolanda, a “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast member, posted a throwback picture of her and a younger Gigi.
The caption read, “Happy 21 birthday my sweet angel,” she wrote. “I love and admire all that you do and all that you are. Thank you for being you!! I pray that each day, LOVE, HEALTH & HAPPINESS will come your way #21 #Milestone @gigihadid.”
On Friday, Gigi, her father, and her younger siblings, model Bella Hadid (19), and Anwar Hadid (16), and several friends gathered to enjoy an early birthday lunch.
The decorations included Tiffany blue balloons, and a white frosted birthday cake with berries on top. Yolanda was not pictured, nor was Gigi’s boyfriend/pop star Zayn Malik.
Hadid, who has appeared in fashion shows like Victoria Secret and in campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger, Sports Illustrated and recently Mercedes-Benz, has been in the model spotlight for quite some time now.
Happy birthday Gigi! You have been a huge inspiration to me in regards to how to be portrayed and think for yourself, not for others. Hope she is somewhere off celebrating with her endless amount of celeb friends including Kendall Jenner, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Karlie Kloss, and others.
- Pamela Anderson joins the “Baywatch” reboot film! Being one of the most successful shows to hit TV, the 90s show, “Baywatch” starred Anderson along with others such as David Hasselhoff. Anderson played CJ Parker, an iconic role at the time, and paved the way to her fame. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who is replacing Hasselhoff’s character, Mitch Buchannon, took to Instagram on Thursday, posing with Anderson.
“She introduced the world to ‘CJ Parker’ and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation — for the most successful TV show of all time,” Johnson, 43, wrote alongside a photo of himself and the 48-year-old blonde bombshell.
“A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our #BAYWATCH cast,” he continued. “We couldn’t have made this movie without you. Welcome home. Thrilled you had a blast with us! #BAYWATCH MAY 19, 2017. #PamAnderson #OS #OriginalSmokestack.”
3. Kelly Ripa is confirmed to return to “Live! with Kelly and Michael” on Tuesday. Last week on Monday, it was confirmed that Michael Strahan, Ripa’s co-host, will be leaving the talk show and anchoring for “Good Morning America,” something he has been doing as a guest-host there for about two years.
According to sources, the announcement came as a shock to all, including myself and Kelly Ripa. I think the real shock of it all came Monday morning watching “Live!” when no one made this announcement at all. Not Strahan. Not the show. No one. In fact, it was not made until later that day. So why didn’t they air it that morning? Something tells me they were trying to pull a fast-one on the co-host Kelly Ripa.
Rumours have been swirling since the announcment that ABC kept Ripa in the dark about the Strahan exit. E!News reports the pair never got along behind the scenes, and that when Ripa was informed of Strahan’s leaving by ABC executives, in front of him, she didn’t speak a word to him and still hasn’t.
Though Ripa has made no comment about Strahan’s September departure, E! is reporting she was “livid” about hearing the news when the whole world did.
No one, not the show, the network or the two have commented on this media frenzy.
Ripa will return to the show on Tuesday, alongside Strahan.
She was seen in public on Thursday with her husband Mark Consuelos,, outside there home in New York, smiling and keeping mum.
Strahan and Ripa were my go-to morning people. I wake up around 8:30 a.m. every morning, a half an hour before “Live!” comes on, I loved this talk show. I loved their chemistry, so hearing that they may not have actually liked each other makes me sad as a viewer. Whenever I watch the show, I feel the dedication of the fans to keep watching, participating in their contests and giveaways, audiences love this talk show. And though there aren’t many that truly catch my attention since they seem to be the same, this duo always made me laugh and happy in the mornings. And even though Strahan won’t be leaving until September, the way I looked at these two will now forever be tainted by these rumours, damn you Hollywood! (Just kidding, you are forever my obsession!). I am deeply saddened on this news, and you know I will be watching on Tuesday in hopes Ripa and Strahan will clarify what is right and what is wrong.
