Here is the latest buzz on the film world,

This week at the movies, not a lot of change in the rankings.

Staying at the top spot for it’s second week in a row, “The Jungle Book” racks in another $61 million to its growing gross.

Directed by Jon Favreau, the film has made $192 million in North America so far.

Based on the book and Disney movie from 1967, it stars Neel Sethi, Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o and Scarlett Johansson.

This movie is crazy good, with brilliant casting and the amazing graphics that make movie-goers feel they are walking in the jungle with Mowgli. I watched it just last weekend, and honestly I would watch it just as many times as I watched  the animated Disney version of “The Jungle Book” when I was a kid (a lot!).

Neel Sethi, who plays Mowgli, was a perfect casting choice. Since he literally looks identical to the animated Mowgli, it made the movie come alive even more.

“The Jungle Book” definitely lived up to the hype.

Next up in second place, “The Huntsman: Winter’s War.”

This film, though many critics are calling the real-life “Frozen” but not as fun, made $19 million in its debut weekend.

The film is a sequel or I guess a prequel to “Snow White and the Huntsman,” which starred Kristen Stewart as Snow White.

(And I hope we all remember what happened on that movie set… this is where Stewart got caught by paps cheating on her then Twilight beau, Robert Pattinson, with the director of the film, Rupert Sanders who was married at the time, just thought I would remind you.)

With a new director, Cedric Nicolas-Troyan and a new direction, the film is set before Snow White’s time.

Chris Hemsworth, Jessica Chastain, Charlize Theron and and Emily Blunt are the front runners of this movie.

In third place, “Barbershop: The Next Cut,” starring Ice Cube.

This latest installment to the “Barbershop” franchise (“Barbershop” and “Barbershop 2”) comes in with fresh faces and fresh comedy.

Making $10.5 million in its second week of release.

Directed by Malcolm D. Lee, the film has made $35 million so far and mixes in all different entertainers including actors and singers.

Alongside Ice Cube, “Barbershop: The Next Cut” stars Cedric the Entertainer, Regina Hall, Eve, Common, and Nicki Minaj.

Others on the list include, “Zootopia” in fourth, “The Boss” starring Melissa McCarthy in fifth, and in the sixth spot, “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
