Good evening readers and fellow bloggers,
I hope this Monday isn’t being too crappy for you, but I have just the thing to perk you right up! Celebrity news of course!
First in talk show news, Whoopi Goldberg signs up for another season of “The View.”
Goldberg took to Twitter today to announce the fans she will be a host for the 2017 season of “The View,” saying she will continue to annoy and delight talk show audiences.
“Ok NOW it’s official, I have re-upped for 1 year returning to @TheView 4 the 2016/2017 season,” Whoopi tweeted Monday. “Will continue 2 annoy some, delight others.”
Just last month, multiple media sources reported Goldberg was locked in for the upcoming 20th season, but this the first time an official announcement has been made.
For once, the panel will likely look the same as the season before it.
With Joy Behar and Paula Farris already committing to another season, and regular guest co-host Sara Haines will join the “hot topics” table permanently.
No word on if current co-hosts Raven-Symone or Candace Cameron-Bure will join the round table again.
Whoop will be a busy woman with the year she has ahead of her; in addition to working on “The View,” she has signed up for an executive producer gig for Oxygen’s latest reality show, “Strut,” which follows transgender fashion models.
Meanwhile in the music world, Aerosmith‘s Joe Perry appears to be on the road to recovery after stumbling off stage this weekend while performing with his new band, Hollywood Vampires.
Fans have been provided an update by Aerosmith’s bassist Tom Hamilton, just a day after the incident.
Hamilton tweeted, “Thankfully, Joe seems to be better than we all first feared. Here’s hoping he’s back on stage soon doing what he loves to do!”
A rep for Perry also updated fans on social media to let them know he appreciates the love and support they have given him.
“Thanks to all of the fans reaching out and asking about Joe,” the statement read. “He is stable right now, with family and is under the best care.”
Hollywood Vampires was set to perform on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” tonight, but was of course, cancelled.
And now for the sports update!
Former New York Yankee, Derek Jeter got married this weekend!
This man has been known for his womanizing ways, romancing women in Hollywood like Mariah Carey, Jessica Biel (when she was on her break from her true love Justin Timberlake), Jessica Alba, Vanessa Lachey, Scarlett Johansson and Mika Kelly.
So the fact he got married is pretty ground breaking.
Jeter got engaged to 26-year-old fashion model, Hannah Davis last fall after dating for 3 years.
The couple married in St. Helena, California, where less than 100 guests attended.
Hannah wore a custom-made Vera Wang gown at the Napa Valley resort wedding, looking lovely and elegant.
Wedding guests included Yankee players Jorge Posada, Andruw Jones and Tino Martinez.
Congrats to the couple!
