This week, many celeb couples finalized or finally filed for divorce from their significant other, marking another Hollywood tradition; If you are famous, divorce is inevitable.
First Couple: Gwenyth Paltrow and Chris Martin
After two years of separation, the 43-year-old actress and 39-year-old Coldplay front man have finalized the details of their divorce.
The couple were together for over a decade and have two children together.
Paltrow filed paperwork after requesting to enter a default judgement after Martin failed to respond to her divorce petition, according to TMZ.
Apparently, Martin failed to respond because the two had already worked out the details together amicably, TMZ reports.
The split was finalized in the L.A. Superior Court this week.
Second Couple: Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman
After a three month separation, Barrymore files for divorce from Kopelman after four years of marriage.
The actress officially filed divorce papers at the Manhattan Supreme Court on Friday.
News outlets report the documents cite the divorce as “uncontested” and “suggest that there will be no messy fights between the two.”
Barrymore, 41, and Kopelman, 39, share two children together, Olive, 3 and Frankie, 2.
This is Barrymore’s third divorce.
Third Couple: Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom
It has been almost two years since Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce from her NBA star ex, Lamar Odom.
Both parties have finally signed off on the documents, agreed to the terms, and have finalized their divorce.
The only thing left to do is for the judge to sign off on the documents, officially making Karadashian a free woman once again.
The reality star was married to Odom for just a little over four years when she filed for divorce.
Since then the couple has faced many challenges along the way.
This includes family deaths, Odom’s drug and alcohol problem leading him to almost dying earlier this year, and a couple of rekindling moments for the couple.
Kardashian herself has been very open about her relationship failure.
“I will never, ever not love Lamar,” she admitted. “I was so obsessed with him in a healthy way. He was my husband, and I still wish he was, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.”
She continued, “There’s nothing I can do. Lamar has to do things in order to change in that aspect, but yeah, if I had my way I’d be married to Lamar in two seconds.”
