Good morning my friends and a happy Saturday to you!
Hollywood is buzzing today with many stories coming in this morning.
Let’s start off with the rumoured short list of who the next permanent co-host for “Live! With Kelly.”
As we all know, Michael Strahan was the co-host for 4 years with Kelly Ripa, until he left unexpectedly in April to pursue a full-time gig at “Good Morning America.”
Since Strahan’s departure, Ripa has had a series of guest co-hosts.
These have included, Fred Savage, her husband Mark Conseulos, Anderson Cooper, and Carrie Ann Inaba.
Here is the latest short list of names,
- Race car driver, Jeff Gordon: In June, Gordon told E! News he would enjoy being Ripa’s co-host.
“I had a great time co-hosting on that show, and I certainly would welcome it. My priority is Fox and Fox Sports and NASCAR,” Gordon said in June. “If there was something that would fit into and around that, great.”
- Fred Savage: Okay so I watch “Live!” almost every day, and I love when Savage is on because I think he and Kelly have great chemistry.
He revealed last week on the show he had dinner with executive producer, Art Moore, furthering rumours.
Savage told ET this just isn’t what it looks like.
“No, this is just I’m coming in town with my family, they’re meeting me here, we’re taking vacation in New York, so the timing worked out,” he shared with ET.
“Whenever they call, I love to come do it. It’s always a lot of fun.”
“I enjoy it so much. I love interacting with the audience. I love sitting beside Kelly—to work with someone who’s just at the top of her field is a thrill, so it’s all enjoyable.”
- Rob Lowe: The “West Wing” actor has always been on to mention when this topic comes about.
You can’t deny that Ripa and Lowe work very well together, co-hosting with her even after Regis Phillben left.
He seems kinda into now though.
“My kids are out of the house, they weren’t then. Who knows…But listen, man, I don’t want to go up against Anderson Cooper,” he said in an interview. “I don’t know if I’m going to go back as an actual guest host yet…You never know! You never know.”
- Which brings us to the obvious best choice, but we know it’ll never happen, Anderson Cooper: Cooper and Ripa are long-time bffs and are so good together on air.
But Cooper has so much going on at CNN and everything, it is just an impossible thought.
Hopefully we find out soon, but we will just have to wait and see what happens!
In other celebrity news, this is a juicy one my friends.
So Jenny McCarthy has a radio show on Sirius XM called “The Jenny McCarthy Show” in which she has celeb guests on to discuss their latest promos such as films, albums, etc.
On Friday, McCarthy had Tara Reid on to promote her new film, “Sharknado 4” (really, No.4?).
But things turned ugly when McCarthy started asking Reid about her latest appearance on “Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars” and her past plastic surgeries.
The interview goes from all happy to two women completely cat-fighting on air. McCarthy starts it all, as she compliments Reid’s appearance on the WE tv reality show.
“I fucking love you on the show, but are you glad you did it?”
It seemed Reid was not interested in talking about it, quickly turning down the question.
“It’s not worth the time to talk about,” she declared.
When the host tried to press her with another question, Tara continued to deflect.
“Babe, I asked you, please let’s not talk about this show,” she added. “We’re all here about Sharknado.”
So McCarthy tried to move on and shifted her questions to talk about the fourth installment of the film.
McCarthy asked how Reid prepared for the film, as in shape and size (werid question Jenny just saying)
Reid answered with, “It’s not like you really need to get into shape. It’s Sharknado. They’re fake sharks.”
McCarthy then went in again and clarified her question by explaining how Reid might have felt inclined to hit the gym for “muscle shape.”
But Reid explained other than “weekly yoga, “she said she did “nothing crazy, nothing strenuous.”
Then McCarthy began to over step her boundaries, by asking about Reid’s past plastic surgeries.
“People talked about your surgeries before. Are you still going through surgeries or are you past them?” asked McCarthy.
To which Reid spat back, “No I haven’t had any surgery for awhile, Jenny.”
Though, McCarthy praised the 40-year-old actress for being open about her surgeries in the past, there seemed to be a pause in the interview, where Tara seems to be talking to someone else in the room.
“So, you’re good and done, not moving forward with plastic surgery?” McCarthy pressed.
“I think I’ve made that clear about 100 times,” Reid shot back. “Maybe you only read the bad things, but I’ve made that really clear for so many years.”
Reid then got up and let, but not before it turned into an ultimate match.
Listen to this,
“Good luck to you, too, and I’m so excited about Sharknado and I hope you stay married,” McCarthy slammed back. “I hope your knees get a little wobblier than they already are.”
“I hope your tits get even nicer, because they’re amazing. The same guy who did mine, right?” Reid snubbed. “I’ll always use your advice. You’re the best. Bye.”
Jenny got the last insult though, “Love you, Tara. Good luck with Sharknado 18.”
THIS HAPPENED LIVE PEOPLE.
Great stuff, petty, but great stuff.
Listen to the whole broadcast here!
Now onto something more happy, or romantic I guess you could call it.
There has been tons of rumours going around that the whole Hiddleswift thing is a publicity stunt for a possible new Taylor Swift music video.
The travelling, the cheesy outfits, etc, etc.
But, Tom Hiddleston has finally admitted to the press, or the Hollywood Reporter, that he indeed is dating Swift for realzees guys.
Fresh from his Emmy nom for “The Night Manger,” the actor spoke to The Hollywood Reporter n the phone while in Australia to discuss his new film, “Thor: Ragnorak” and the interviewer just had to ask about Swift and the conspiracy theories.
In response, “Well, um. How best to put this?” said Hiddleston, chuckling. “The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we’re very happy. Thanks for asking.”
He continued with, “That’s the truth. It’s not a publicity stunt.”
Wow, so can we say FINALLY.
