Cheers to the weekend, my friends.

In early June, Grimmie, former ‘The Voice’ contestant, was participating in a meet-and-greet with fans after performing a concert in Orlando, Florida where she was fatally shot by a male victim.

The YouTube star was taken to hospital, and later died as a result of her injuries.

The documents state the cause of death was “gunshot wounds of head and chest.” The autopsy reports the manner of Grimmie’ death was a homicide.

The documents also confirm Grimmie’s brother, Marcus, was present at the time of her shooting, he identified her body.

“In consideration of the circumstances surrounding the death, and after examination of the body, toxicology analysis, and review of the available medical records,” the conclusion the report began to state, “it is in my opinion that the death of Christin Grimmie, a 22-year-old white female witnessed to have been shot by another and subsequently transported to the hospital, is the result of a gunshot wounds of the head and the chest. The manner of the death is homicide.”

Grimmie was laid to rest last month and a viewing was held in her honour in her hometown in Ner Jersey.

In television news, Rihanna is setting her sights on an acting gig.

It was reported this morning the singer will appear on the newest season of “Bates Motel.”

The San Diego Comic-Con broke the story, announcing Rihanna will play Marion Crane, Norman’s victim.

“Yes, hello Comic-Con. It’s your girl RiRi. And let me tell you what a bad bitch is about to do,” she said. “I’m about to check in to the Bates Motel very soon. And guess what also. Guess who’s playing Marion. Yes, so all you Comic-Con fans, all you Bates Motel fans, stay tuned!”

This isn’t Rihanna’s first acting role.

She has appeared in films such as “This is the End,” “Annie” and lent her voice for the animated film, “Home.”

Executive producers, Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin say they are excited to welcome Rihanna on the show.

“We wanted to thrust the iconic role into a contemporary spotlight and redefine it in a meaningful and exciting new way. We also heard Rihanna was a fan of the show, and we were huge fans of hers, so it was the perfect collision of creativity and fate,” Cuse and Ehrin said in statement.

What a huge change for Rihanna, but she has this weird, cool personality that will perfectly match the ever-so creepy television series.

“Bates Motel” will release its fifth and final season on A & E in 2017.
